Conversations on chatbots

A new world is emerging; one in which humans communicate with computers through natural language. This is in particular seen in the field of chatbots, that is, machine agents serving as natural language user interfaces to data and service providers on the Internet.

To strengthen chatbot research and design, CONVERSATIONS 2017 is a multi-disciplinary workshop for learning and sharing among researchers and practitioners. The workshop is arranged in conjunction with the 4th International Conference on Internet Science – INSCI 2017.

You are invited to submit workshop papers based on theoretical perspectives, practical experiences, or demonstrations – e.g. of analysis methods or interaction design.

Accepted papers with theoretical/empirical contributions or detailed demonstrations (6-12 pages) will be published in the workshop proceedings (Springer LNCS) . Also, there is a low-threshold option for contributing with brief position papers or demonstrations (2-3 pages). All  accepted papes will be presented as a basis for the discussions at the workshop.

The workshop is open for all interested researchers and practitioners. Participation is free of charge.

CONVERSATIONS 2017 is arranged in collaboration with UX Gemini CentreCentre for Research on Media Innovations, CERTH Information Technology Institute, SINTEF and CAIR – Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research.
